Flower Power Challenge
My Senior Branch unit is currently working a "flower power"
challenge.
We bought the flower crest(I believe it is a sparks crest)that has 7 pieces
(a centre and 6 petals), each petal has a different saying on it which we used
to theme our program around.
There are 5 girls in my unit and 2 leaders, we each took one piece of the
flower and made an hour long program.
Every couple weeks one girl presents her program and we will all do the
activities.
The 3rd years tend to take most of the leadership rolls in the unit so to
prepare everyone else to lead we gave them a specific activity to do. This
forces each girl to plan a meeting and lead it.
Our unit only has one Jr. Leader meaning that all the other girls tend not to
get to lead by themselves, we work mostly as a group.
We have done the centre of the flower and one of the petals so far, everyone
seems to enjoy the program and is really well prepared for their night.
