About Girl Guides of Canada

Since 1910, Girl Guides of Canada - Guides du Canada has been a trailblazing movement advocating for girls and women, while offering them opportunities to discover new interests and develop leadership skills. Throughout its history, Guiding has prepared girls to meet the challenges they face. Guiding enables girls to be confident, courageous and resourceful, and to make a difference in the world.

Guiding involves girls in learning about global and cultural awareness, career exploration, science and technology, and the arts. Guiding challenges girls to work on environmental projects and explore important issues such as cyber-bullying, self-esteem and body image. Guiding helps girls develop the skills needed to speak out and take action on issues that are important to them.
