Website Frequently Asked Questions!
FAQ's
Q. What is PDF?
A.
The PDF format has become the standard format for sharing documents.
This is the case for many reasons. PDF was created so that different
configurations on different systems wouldnt alter the appearance of
documents, which can become distorted or misaligned in word processor documents.
It is also the most universal file format available for such purposes. Adobe
supports virtually ALL platforms, including all variations of Windows, Macintosh systems, Linux and Unix.
Finally, the program to open, view and print PDF documents is a free download
from
www.adobe.com
.
Q
.
What is Adobe® Reader® software?

Adobe Reader is free software that lets you open, view, search, digitally sign, verify, and print PDF files.
Q.

A.
Yes, Adobe Reader X is free software available on the Adobe Reader download page or wherever you see the Get Adobe Reader icon.
Q.How do I download Adobe Reader?
A
. Visit the Adobe Reader download page to download Adobe Reader X (the
latest version) . Once there, you can identify your language, operating system, and connection speed. Adobe Reader downloads and installs automatically on your system.
You can also download previous versions of Adobe Reader that run on Linux® and Solaris platforms. For mobile access, you can download Reader for Android or Reader for Symbian directly to your device.
Q.
Do I need Adobe Acrobat® software to use Adobe Reader?
No, Adobe Reader is a free, standalone application that you can use to open, view, comment on, highlight, search, digitally sign, verify, and print PDF files, such as those created by Adobe Acrobat
.
Q. I'm having problems opening PDF files. Why?
A.
If you are getting error messages while attempting to open one of our
files, our first suggestion is that you download the most recent version of
Acrobat Reader. Most of them were created with the latest version of Adobe
Acrobat, which sometimes causes conflicts with older versions of the reader.
If you click on the link to a PDF file and nothing happens or you have
difficulties opening it, you can try saving it to your computer first and then
opening it up from the Reader program. To do this on a PC, right-click on the
hyperlinked .pdf file name and select Save Target As (Save Link As in Netscape).
Save the file in the directory of your choice, then access it with your Reader.
To do this on a Mac, Click and hold down the mouse on the link to a PDF file;
then choose Download Link To Disk from the pop-up menu. In the Save As dialog
box, select a location on your hard disk; then click Save.
If your problem continues or if you cant find a solution to it here, the best
place to get help with Acrobat Reader problems is
