Cookie Freshness Guidelines

UPDATE- SHELF LIFE OF COOKIES : The shelf life for the classic chocolate and vanilla cookies has been updated to 8 months. Research is underway for the shelf life for the chocolatey mint cookies to be announced for the 2012 mint campaign

Freshness on those last few boxes of cookies from a previous campaign that just didn’t get sold – Just a Reminder: Our cookies now have a 8 month shelf life. How to determine if your cookies are fresh and still able to be sold check the side panel of the box.

For example: 6 247 A means (10) Year…(247) Day of the Year…A (Shift-Day) If it were an evening or night shift the letters would be B or a C. These cookies were produced on September 4, 2010 (247 day of the year 2010 on the day shift) and will no longer be suitable for sale after May 4, 2011

You can also use this updated Excel spreadsheet to calculate whether your cookies are past the guaranteed freshness date.
