Bright Ideas - Games

Observation Game

A fun, active game to help the girls develop observation skills.

Required:

Pictures cut into half - to make them more permanent glue pictures to cardboard, then cut in half; to make it a bit more difficutl cut the pictures with an irregular line. Could use postcards as well. When you cut the cards in half make sure that you have two piles with half of each picture in one pile, and the other half in the other pile.

You will require one complete picture per girl.

How to play:

Take one pile and lay them face up at one end of the room.

Take the other pile and lay them face down at the other end of the room.

Have the girls line up in the middle of the room and on go run and pick up one of the face down cards (if the group is large have them do this by patrols or circles)

They now run to the other end of the room and match up their card with the other half.

As they find a pair they run to the leadrs to show them the pair (great way to get the cards back in pairs and divide them up into two piles again).

If the girls want - play it again!
