Bright Ideas - Games

Ball Pass

Here is a game that the 3rd St. Albert Girl Guides of Alberta really enjoy.

You will need at least 2 balls and you keep adding balls until you can no longer keep up, we made it upto 5 balls.

See how many balls your unit can get to.

Get everyone into a circle, leaders and all.

Now start passing 1 ball across the circle to a different member on each pass.

Everyone needs to remember who passed them the ball and who they passed it to.

Now, keep passing the ball in the same sequence around the circle. Once everyone has had some time to practice the sequence and get the hang of operating their fingers, add the second ball to the passing sequence.

Keep going to see how many balls you can get passing around the circle.

It is a lot of fun.

The goal of the game is to teach team work and how important it is to pay attention to the other people on your team. If you are not paying attention to the people infront of you on the team you will not see what is coming to you and if you are not paying attention to the next person on your team you will break the pattern and they will not know that something is being passed to them. It teaches the girls to pay attention to the things around them
