Beach Party Camp

We had a beach party camp theme in May (and here in Alberta, that included snow!)

• we made sarongs for the girls to wear over their bathing suits;
• we made leis with construction paper flowers and straws;
• we made sand castles with salt dough;
• our campfire was a sand beach party;
• we played beach volleyball;
• we had hula hoop contests and limbo contests,
• but the favourite activity was decorating an inexpensive picture frame with shells and putting a picture in it of themselves taken at the beach party (thank goodness for 1 hour photo- or a instant camera would work too)
